Introduction-
Rachana Sharir is one of the most important branch of health sciences like as all other branches of medical system. Rachana Sharir is considered as fundamental subject of health science and management of health problems merely depends upon the knowledge of the anatomy. It is believed that knowledge about Rachana Sharir helps physicians/ surgeons to become perfect in their professional practice therefore aacharya paid prime importance about the knowledge of Rachana Sharir.
Aacharya Sushruta elaborated various perspectives related to the dissection process and preservation of human cadaver. In department of Rachana Sharir following areas of study are included- Sharir, Shaarir, Srishti utapatti karm, Garbha sharir,samkhya sharir, marma sharir , marit Sharir samshodhan padhati etc..as well as contemporary/modern science.
Aim–
The principal aim is to up lift skill of the Rachana Sharir, to provide comprehensive knowledge of the gross, microscopic and developmental anatomy of human body, which provide a basic understanding of the clinical correlation.
Objectives–
To train the students in cadaveric dissection.
To deliver the knowledge of various vital structures of human body theoretically as well as practically.
Being the most basic subject of all, we will make the students acquaint with applied and clinical aspects of human body.
Integrative approach towards the learning process in classical Rachana Sharir and it’s modern anatomical aspects.
To understand the principal of imaging techniques and interpretation of radiographs and CT scan etc.

To provide effective skills to students to be acquainted with classical knowledge of Rachana Sharir as described in ayurveda as well as modern literature of anatomy.
